UNITE Training Series
This training series covers Cognitive-Behavioral Couple Therapy (CBCT), a highly effective approach for helping couples where one partner is experiencing a psychiatric disorder. For over a decade, Drs. Bulik, Baucom, and Kirby at UNC-Chapel Hill have developed and tested a couple-based intervention for eating disorders called UNITE (UNiting couples In the Treatment of Eating disorders). This intervention integrates partners into the treatment process to enhance treatment response. The training will explore the principles, mechanisms, and interventions of UNITE, providing guidance for couples to implement behavior changes that support recovery.
